Upload 4K from a mountaintop, not three days later from a Starbucks

8-30 Mbps upload from satellite. Go live on Instagram from a hidden beach. Upload drone footage from 1,800 meters. Publish daily from anywhere.

You flew your drone over the most incredible sunset of the trip. You have 12 GB of 4K ProRes footage and 200 photos to edit and upload. The nearest WiFi is a campsite 40 minutes away that delivers 0.5 Mbps — if it works. Your followers won't see this content for days. Unless you have satellite upload.

The problem — and how we solve it

4G upload in nature is 1-2 Mbps at best — when there's signal at all. Uploading a 10-minute 4K video takes hours. A full SD card is a multi-day project.

8-30 Mbps satellite upload. A 2 GB video file uploads in under 10 minutes. Clear your SD card every evening, not every third day.

Going live from a scenic location means needing a stable connection. Mobile signal in mountains or beaches is too unreliable for live streaming.

Stable satellite connection with ~20ms latency. Go live on Instagram, YouTube, or TikTok from any scenic location with a clear sky view.

The best content comes from the most remote locations — which are exactly the places with no internet. You have to choose: epic location or posting schedule.

Both. Satellite works everywhere. The most photogenic mountain pass and the most remote beach now have 100+ Mbps download and fast upload.

Running a power-hungry setup (drone batteries, camera, laptop, now a satellite dish?) in the field is a logistics nightmare.

Starlink Mini draws 25-40W — less than your laptop. A 100Wh power bank runs it for 3-5 hours. Add the 12V car adapter and it runs from your vehicle all day.

What's in your kit

Your creator kit includes: Starlink Mini dish, power adapter, tripod mount (stable on uneven terrain), 12V car adapter for field power. Optional: 20K battery for hiking to scenic spots.

I'm a drone operator shooting real estate and tourism content along the Amalfi Coast. Half the cliff-side villas have zero cellular. I used to drive 30 minutes back to Amalfi to upload rushes. Now I set the Starlink on the villa terrace, upload 8 GB of 4K to Dropbox in 20 minutes, and move to the next location. My daily output doubled.

Frequently asked questions

Are upload speeds actually fast enough for video?
8-30 Mbps upload measured in real-world tests. That's 1-3.75 MB/s — a 2 GB file in 9-30 minutes depending on conditions. Not fiber speed, but 5-15x faster than rural 4G upload and infinitely faster than "no signal."
Can I live stream reliably?
Yes, for social media streams. 1080p streaming at 4.5 Mbps works well. Professional broadcast-quality streams may see occasional jitter — for paid live events, consider a bonded cellular backup. For Instagram/YouTube/TikTok Lives, Starlink Mini handles it.
Does it work with a drone controller hotspot?
The Starlink Mini creates its own WiFi network. You can connect your phone, laptop, or any WiFi device. For drone uploads, connect your editing laptop to Starlink's WiFi and transfer files to cloud storage as usual.
How do I power it in the field?
Three options: 12V car adapter (unlimited power from your vehicle), portable power bank (99Wh = 3-5 hours), or standard wall outlet at accommodation. For a full day of shooting, the car adapter is the best choice.
Can I carry it while hiking to a location?
1.1 kg, 29.8 x 25.9 cm — smaller and lighter than most camera lenses. Fits in a backpack alongside your camera gear. At the location, set it on the ground or tripod mount, plug into a power bank, and you're connected in 60 seconds.
